Open Settings > General > About; Model Name should show iPhone 17 Pro. Tap the part number next to Model Number for the A-number. US and Puerto Rico phones are A3256, and Apple lists A3522, A3523 and A3524 for other regions.

Why cases are model-specific

Apple lists the iPhone 17 Pro at 150.0 x 71.9 x 8.75 mm (5.91 x 2.83 x 0.34 in). The iPhone 16 Pro is 149.6 x 71.5 x 8.25 mm (5.89 x 2.81 x 0.32 in), and the iPhone 17 is 149.6 x 71.5 x 7.95 mm (5.89 x 2.81 x 0.31 in). Those gaps are under a millimeter, but the camera areas differ. The iPhone 17 Pro carries Fusion Ultra Wide, Fusion Main and Fusion Telephoto cameras in its plateau, with the LiDAR Scanner and flash on the plateau’s right side. Apple describes the iPhone 16 Pro’s three cameras without that full-width plateau, and the iPhone 17 has only two. Apple’s own iPhone 17 cases name only the iPhone 17 as compatible.
